This is the first post on a small blog I’m keeping alongside my personal site.
The plan is to write here occasionally — usually when I have something that’s too long for a paragraph in a paper, too informal for a review, or too tangential to belong in the methods. The kinds of things I expect to end up here:
- Behind a paper — the part of a result that didn’t make the manuscript: the numerical trick, the dead end, the plot I couldn’t fit.
- Notes on papers I’m reading — short summaries when someone else’s work is either so good or so puzzling that I want to write down what I took from it.
- Methods and tooling — if I build something reusable (a Mathematica notebook, a Python helper, a waveform-processing recipe), a post here is a better place to describe it than a buried README.
- Occasional longer thoughts on neutron-star physics, dense matter, gravitational waves, or the working life of a postdoc — when I actually have a thought worth writing down.
The tone will be informal. The pace will be irregular. If you came here from a paper or talk looking for the real output, the publications, talks, and interactive companions pages are what you want.
More soon.
